    Well, lets picture a town for a second. It has factories, cars, farms, houses. Now lets say none of these people handle their trash corectly. When it rains, water runs from land into bodies of water (like your creek) and the rain water carries all the waste from the town into the creek. So now the creek is filled with the town’s waste.
